I was never told that a passport was required and no other ID, like an Australian driver’s licence, would be accepted. I called them over and over to get a refund, they promised it, but I still haven’t received it. I’m on a pension and feel cheated by this whole ordeal.

The location is strategic, just a few minutes on foot from the courier station, the beach, and literally across from Coles. Even without a car, the accommodation is convenient, and there’s a full parking lane available. Overall, the hostel atmosphere is cheerful, with staff organizing recreational activities that help meet new people and break the ice, especially for solo travelers. You can still enjoy peace and quiet. The cleanliness is well maintained. After staying more than a month, I can confirm a positive experience and recommend the place.

Free parking and generally good equipment, but don’t stay out late or you’ll find “Goldilocks” in your bedding.

The spot is great – just a short walk from the station and they throw in a simple breakfast. Unfortunately the room had an odd smell and the power outlet was far from the bed, making it a hassle to plug things in. The hostel is packed with French guests and the cigarette smoke from outside drifts right into the room.
