The place was gorgeous and the breakfast was lovely, but the check‑in was terrible; we were exhausted, couldn't figure out how to get in, and it was only about 15 minutes past the reception hours. I wish someone had been there to help us in person, but we eventually managed on our own 😊

The location and rooms were very good, but no staff were present when we arrived. We only received information via WhatsApp, which we don’t use, so it was pure luck that we figured out how to get in. The nearby restaurant was closed on the weekday we were there, and this should have been mentioned since we had to drive to a place that had no service.

The view, the location, the surroundings, the room, and the castle itself were all wonderful. The restaurant right next door was good. I liked everything.

If you’ve ever wanted to stay in a real castle, this is your chance! The rooms are authentic, spacious, and still very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent and the staff were lovely. We also enjoyed dinner at the nearby restaurant Gut Matzen and a walk through the adjacent park. Communication via WhatsApp was quick and efficient. However, as many have mentioned, there is no staff on site except during breakfast. We received parking instructions and directions in the reservation confirmation email, but it would have been nice to have someone on hand to give more information about the castle and local activities. Those with mobility issues should note this, as there are many stairs to climb.
