The restaurant food was good, but the hotel desperately needs renovation and upgrades; the shower was old and not particularly dirty, the room felt outdated, curtain hooks were broken, the balcony was filthy, and the glass needed a lot of cleaning.

The place feels poorly maintained, isn't comfortable, and I wouldn't stay here again.

Staying at this classic, independent hotel in Chetumal was a great choice thanks to its superb location—practically everything is close by—but the restaurant could use some improvement and the building shows its age, which oddly adds a historic charm.
