The historic hacienda’s buildings date back to the early 1600s, and this was my third visit. Rafael and Elizabeth have owned it for 15 years and restored it well. The price is far above market rates, but I chose to stay because I wanted to relive the good memories from past visits.

I arrived from Las Vegas and the place felt like a calm retreat, letting me unwind right away; the driver met me at the airport and handled my luggage, and the staff welcomed me with a fresh greeting.
