“Disappointing. Did not meet my expectations”
Parking was convenient and the hotel’s location made it easy to find. Their website claimed there were two restaurants within 200 metres, but that was a lie; one was half a mile away and the other almost a mile from Red Wings. Breakfast, which was included in the room rate, was disappointing with only a few cereal options—coco pops, cornflakes, and a nut‑and‑wheat flake—no healthy choices like Weetabix, bran flakes, or oats. The only bright spot was the excellent sleep in the room.
“Good for a night's sleep.”
The hotel’s location was convenient, close to the pub we had booked. The mattress was very uncomfortable.
The rooms were spacious. There was a slight noise coming from the road.
“Couldn’t wait to go home.”
There wasn’t much going on, but a friendly receptionist helped us find local spots. The noise was intense, like cars pounding on your head. The reception staff looked unkempt. Breakfast was terrible: soggy stale cereal, weak orange juice, and plain white or brown toast that forced us to eat in the corridor. Paying £15 a night for a dog seemed absurd, especially when there was only a small parking area and a patch of grass right next to a main road for walks. The bathroom was dirty, with black around the taps.
“Very convenient for us and easy for our dog to stay”
The location was great and the staff were friendly. The toilet in room five was loose.
