“Heavy fog in October”

The bed was comfy and the fire helped keep the cold damp weather at bay. I appreciated the microwave, though you can’t run the microwave and the fire together because it trips the circuit. The TV wouldn’t turn on at all despite my attempts to restart it. The walls were too thin; I could hear conversations next door, snoring, and a guest’s dog barking. Because of the thick fog we couldn’t see the lighthouse from our room even though we were close to it.

“Fantastic location for a get away”

The location was great, but I initially thought we’d be staying “in” or connected to the lighthouse.

The spot right at the base of the lighthouse is unbeatable, and the view from the bed itself is spectacular. The room feels warm and inviting, and the staff went above and beyond by offering a bottle of wine and coffee as a welcome.

“Beautiful and very peaceful.”

The place sits in a gorgeous setting, feels super comfy, and had plenty of amenities. Exploring the area with our dog was a joy, especially since the bathroom setup made it easy to keep her clean. I’d definitely suggest this for a peaceful escape. The only downside is that the wind is strong here, which is something to keep in mind.
