The spot is in a solid spot, easy to get to and close to everything I needed.
The staff were friendly and helpful, which made the stay feel extra welcoming.
the pool area was a highlight – plenty of space and clean.

The spot is in a solid spot, easy to get to and close to everything I needed. But the bed bugs were a nightmare – I got bites all over. The kitchen gear was old and the pots and pans looked like they'd seen better days.
“I really enjoyed it. It was a safe space for a single traveler that’s not too fussy”
This place was just right for me – it felt safe and the people around were all so relaxed and comfortable. I really enjoyed the vibe and felt at home.
“Geht nicht dort hin, wenn ihr euch etwas Wert seid”
The kitchen was a disaster – filthy, probably because the guests don't clean up. There were a lot of weird people staying there, some even living in the hostel. The worst part was the bed bugs – I got at least 20 bites. The price was high for such a bad place, especially in the off‑season. Australia needs to do something about housing; camps cost $65 a night for a patch of grass, and this hostel with bed bugs is almost $40.
Got a great deal for the price, and the pool area was a highlight – plenty of space and clean. The staff were friendly and helpful, which made the stay feel extra welcoming.
“Much better accommodations are available at this price”
The hotel sits in Southport, a couple of stops from Surfers Paradise, Cavill, and Cypress Avenues, so getting around was easy. Unfortunately, the room was filthy, the shared bathroom was a mess with clogged toilets and uncleaned poop, and I could hear the TV from the next room all the time.
