The place is gorgeous, perched on a hill with a fantastic view of vineyards and the winding Douro River; waking up in the middle of a painting was a 10, and Maarten’s hospitality plus the BBQ night with fellow guests made for an unforgettable stay. The final stretch to the exit was unpaved and narrow, a bit awkward, but it was part of the charm.

The location is fantastic, the view is unique. Maarten is very nice and helpful. We felt very comfortable, and the kids liked it a lot. We received a great tip for dinner and an interesting, tasty spontaneous wine tasting. Breakfast was also super tasty and lovingly presented. I hope we can come back.

Maarten was an amazing host, and his vineyard is absolutely lovely. The views from the room and the property were amazing. You can't beat the sunrise from your window. We were lucky enough to have an evening barbecue in the garden with Maarten and the other guests. Maarten is passionate about winemaking and happy to share stories about how he came to the Douro Valley. I highly recommend this intimate vineyard

The experience was spectacular, the views were amazing, it’s worth going 100%. The road access is a bit difficult because of construction, but the destination is worth it.
