Shepherd's Hut at St Anne's - Costal Location

“I like camping and the location was good by the communal areas were neglected.”

The place was great for its proximity to the Coast Path, the alpacas were lovely, and the hosts were friendly and helpful. However, finding it was tough due to no directions or signs. The separate kitchen was poorly equipped—no cutlery, few plates, and it wasn’t very clean. The bathroom’s string light pull was only 3 inches long, making it hard to reach. The sink in the hut seemed redundant because there was no water.

The experience was amazing, and there was nothing I didn’t love.

“Disappointed”

We loved the spot, right by the coast with loads of walking trails. But, the mattress was a letdown - we told the staff, but it was still a bit of a slog to sleep. And, to be honest, the shared loo and shower block was a bit of a pain, especially on a soggy day when we got soaked walking over. It would've been great if each hut had its own bathroom, 'cause we had to queue up in the mornings.

“Perfect location for walking coastal path”

This place was a lifesaver for my Devon Air Ambulance walk - perfect location. The hut was tiny, but that's what I expected. One thing that would've made it better is some proper crockery - just a thought for next time.
