I have to say that my experience was a letdown - the place didn't exist as described, and what we found was an odd house with no one to attend to us. It felt like a total scam.

I was warmly welcomed and was blown away by how incredibly quiet the place was - not a single noise to be heard. The surroundings were lush and green, making for a perfect retreat.

As a biologist, I was thrilled to stumble upon this hostel during a field expedition, run by a fellow professional, Leonardo. We stayed in the Casa de Pedra, which was fantastic, complete with a real library. Leonardo's conservation and ecotourism efforts in the region are truly commendable. We were grateful for the warm hospitality, including a delicious walnut cake made by his mother, Sônia, and the wonderful guide dog, Skoob. I highly recommend this hostel to all nature lovers.
