Hotel Samrat International

The location was central in the city. The Wi‑Fi was awful—my Airtel network didn’t even get a signal. There was no kettle in the room for water or making tea and coffee, yet they still charged me extra for morning tea. Breakfast was below par. I checked in around 2100 hrs but they didn’t even offer a courtesy extension to check out at 1200 hrs the next day. Overall, the cost was high for such amenities; if I hadn’t booked and paid in advance, I might not have stayed there for that price.

“Not as advertised”

Nothing. The hotel is not what it’s been advertised as. The hotel was advertised as 4stars however on arrival it was clear this is not the case. The sheets are dirty, there are only hot water facilities for 3hours of the day, and the quality of furnishings in the room is poor and dated. The room looks very different to the one shown in the pictures, this is false advertising. When we returned for the second night we found the room had not been cleaned, we were told this was because we hadn’t let the front desk know we wanted it to be cleaned, however we were not told this when checking in. The room clearly states daily housekeeping is provided. Additionally, they have charged for bottled water, something that no other hotel we have stayed at in India has done. “Good experience”

The restaurant was vegetarian and the test meal was decent, giving a solid 9.0/10 rating.
