A clean room. Because there are only two rooms, we had the place to ourselves. The small communal area was fine, and the host let us use the kitchen, which again was very clean. A 15‑minute walk to the beach with plenty of cafés and restaurants along the way. The bed was rather hard.
The host was very kind and friendly, he welcomed us with coconuts and serves delicious breakfast every morning. The property is newly built and in great condition. The location is perfect, close enough to the city center and beach, but in a quiet area, so it’s perfect to have some good rest.
The rooms were spotless and comfortable, and the building is brand new. I must highlight the operator’s service—he was exceptionally helpful, kind, and smiling, even though he had just suffered an injury before we arrived; he still went out of his way to fulfill every request, even riding a scooter to bring us a coconut welcome gift. He also assisted with our transfer to another location and called a car for us, plus offered laundry services. As a property owner, I would be completely satisfied with such staff. Overall, the accommodation left a very positive impression and I would definitely recommend it to anyone who isn’t just here to rave. The area around the hotel isn’t finished, but I don’t consider that a major issue. We also had trouble finding the place because the navigation didn’t guide us well. The lodging is on a side street near the Praya Bay Hiriketya hotel, which we later used as a landmark. The distance from Hiriketya beach and Dickwela beach is about a 10‑minute walk, which I also don’t see as a serious problem since tuk‑tuks are available.
“Fantastic stay”
Superb stay. Gayan is so kind, he gave me a drink of fresh passion‑fruit juice on arrival. The place is very modern, close to the town and beach but very quiet and peaceful. Gayan showed me all the different fruit trees and even brought a fresh coconut 🥥 for me to drink.
Very friendly host, providing breakfast and a large room with a comfy bed. Free water and a lovely patio area. I had to wake up to a dirt track (short walk) to get to the accommodation.
