The cottage was well furnished, the bathroom was large enough, and the location was ideal by car—20 minutes to Porto. Breakfast was excellent and the staff were super welcoming, helping with everything you needed. You almost felt reluctant to ask for anything because they were so kind. On the departure day we had to leave at the time breakfast opened, so we asked about breakfast options and they moved the opening half an hour earlier that morning, allowing us to enjoy a full breakfast. They make everything fresh and had already learned our preferences, which they executed flawlessly. Fantastic!

The entire property is stunningly beautiful and well maintained, creating a very relaxing atmosphere. The staff are super professional and friendly. The downside is that there isn’t much to do or see nearby; you’ll need a car to reach Gaia.

Nothing positive. Quinta do Pedregal refused to honor our pre‑paid reservation without giving a valid reason, made us wait over two hours to resolve an issue they couldn’t fix, and didn’t even offer water during that time. I had to call myself to find alternative accommodation. When we arrived, the gate opened after I called the intercom and identified the reservation, yet the receptionist was already on the phone and asked us to wait. After a long wait and several phone conversations, she asked for my name again and then claimed we had no reservation—an obvious lie, as she was on the phone the whole time. She told me to call customer service because she couldn’t reach them, but she was still on the phone. Customer service confirmed the reservation existed and started a procedure, but the property eventually cancelled it via email, leaving us without a place to stay and no explanation.
