The location at the centre of Pelourinho was excellent, the staff were very friendly and helpful, the rooms had a traditional style, and many beautiful Brazilian paintings were displayed throughout the hotel; the only downside was that you have to carry your luggage to the reception on the first floor, but that’s not a big deal.

The staff at the lodge are super helpful and friendly, paying attention to details—when I mentioned it was part of my honeymoon, they left a wonderful cake with real fruit juice. The location is perfect for a city‑center experience; we could walk everywhere. The room is roomy and comfortable, and they gave great tips. Breakfast is served in the room and everything tastes good, with instructions in multiple languages, giving the impression they host many foreigners. The building is a lovely colonial house, but the acoustics aren’t the best. It’s right in the center, so bar and music noise linger until about 20/21h, plus passers‑by (it was a holiday, so many people were drinking and making a ruckus), the church bell, the creak of wooden steps, and the lodge bell. Just a heads‑up for those sensitive to noise.

The place is spacious, Sandra was attentive, and the location is great. Just remember you’ll have to climb stairs.

The location is ultra‑central in Pelourinho, just steps from the San Francesco church. The historic palace has been renovated. Breakfast is superb, delivered to the room on request. The triple room is very spacious and welcoming, and the bathroom is comfortable. I was able to immerse myself in local folklore for three full days. The lack of an elevator can be inconvenient for elderly guests. The reception isn’t always staffed, as they hand out keys to guests and the bell sometimes rings for a long time without answer. The staff were very kind, even helping to book excellent guided tours.
