“Worst ever experience just dont book this stay”

Absolutely nothing good. The stay at Surya Cafe & Stay, Gokarna was a total disaster from start to finish. The room was poorly maintained, unhygienic, and there were bugs in the bed—completely unacceptable for any paying guest. Sleeping there felt disgusting and uncomfortable. Cleanliness was clearly ignored, and basic standards were nowhere to be seen. What made it even worse was being unfairly overcharged for air conditioning, even though AC was already supposed to be included in the room category I had originally booked. This felt like a blatant scam and dishonest business practice. Instead of resolving the issue professionally, the management showed no accountability and seemed more interested in squeezing extra money out of guests. The staff’s attitude was rude and aggressive, making the entire stay stressful rather than enjoyable. For anyone planning a trip to Gokarna, avoid this place unless you want to deal with unhygienic rooms, hidden charges, dishonest service, and a ruined vacation. Gokarna is beautiful, but staying here was one of the worst hospitality experiences imaginable.

Although the owner was good enough and the room was good, the staff was poor at serving good food. The location is interior, the beach was not clean, no lifts, and the staff are really slow at responding to queries.

The property opens directly to the sea shore. It's an amazing place to stay. A bit more attention could have been given towards the hygiene

Only positive is the location, but to reach there you have to walk around half a kilometre with your luggage. Food was good. There is no parking near the facility. You have to walk half a kilometre with the luggage through different properties. No road at all. There is only one sea view room and that does not have AC. And they are charging higher for this room. No complementary breakfast as well.
