Located in the middle of the city but easy to find by putting the address on Maps. We parked at the monitored Parking Bab Jdid, from which we reached the Riad in about 10 min on foot. Excellent welcome with necessary explanations to navigate the Fès medina. We received a pleasant room upgrade. Breakfast was simple and good. Staff were available for every need. A city guide was offered to us upon arrival for 50 € for about 3–4 hours. Essential for moving around the city without getting lost and for not being questioned on the street. We paid for our stay in cash.
Great welcome, attentive to travelers. Riad with pool. I recommend!
“Muy agradable”
The location, the friendliness, and the rooftop were great. Nothing else to add.
The staff is charming and helpful. Aziz is a great host.
“Comportement insistant et déplacé du patron”
The staff, except for the owner, were friendly, welcoming, and helpful. However, the owner pushed us hard to post a positive review on Booking right in front of him, which makes me seriously doubt whether the displayed rating reflects the real experience of all guests. Several other aspects also disappointed us. Booking said card payment was accepted, but on arrival we were forced to pay only in cash. Despite three requests, we never received an invoice or any proof of payment. Breakfast was disappointing: the orange juice tasted oddly like medicine, and the jams seemed low quality. The air‑conditioning in our room didn't work properly, the shower pressure was very weak, and because our room was right below the terrace, we could hear people above us at night. The most shocking thing happened on the morning of our departure, at 4:30 am. The night staff was supposed to just hand us take‑away breakfast and could have handled that perfectly. We even asked him not to wake the owner. Still, he woke him. The owner came out naked, insisting that my husband immediately post a positive review on Booking right in front of him. When my husband locked his phone after posting, the owner, thinking the review might not have been submitted, asked him to check. Once the positive review was secured, his behavior toward us changed completely. We later found that other guests also reported being pressured to leave positive reviews. I therefore contacted Booking to request a revision of our initial review, as it had been posted under duress and did not reflect our true experience.
