“Heerlijke tussenstop”

The welcome was very friendly and warm! While we were still on our way, we had a little problem getting there and we emailed Das Gartenhaus; we got an immediate reply, Verena calmed us down and helped us find the place. They use a no‑waste formula, which is a plus at breakfast. The stay is very cosy, set in a natural environment, with nice decorative details and, not least, super clean: no dust, a tidy bathroom. I guessed they hadn’t been open for long, but that was not true at all – they’ve been running this place for 10 years! The only downside is that if you don’t bring toiletries, you’ll be disappointed to find only a hand‑pump with soap available. For breakfast we were asked on the spot to choose what we wanted from the buffet, Verena was a bit annoyed. We were just the two of us at the time, so it went smoothly; if there were many more people, it might not be so convenient, but that didn’t bother us.

“Geheimtipp!!”

It’s really great! The reception was very friendly, the dinner excellent, and the breakfast superb. I like the sustainability concept, both at dinner and at the breakfast buffet. The beds are comfortable, and the “stiefel‑bier” in the garden is a dream for bikers! I was only passing through, but I’ll definitely come back. A great starting point for tours. There is nothing to complain about here.

Great breakfast, with an unusual staffed counter to pick up slices of cheese and the like. They also offer a no‑choice evening dinner option, which was delicious the night I stayed. A sign showing where to park motorcycles would have been helpful for me, because I wasn’t sure that the parking space was for private use.
