The room was neat and the bed was royal. The booking site didn’t make it clear that this was a love‑hotel where you pay hourly, which was completely anonymous. The drive‑in, reception behind black glass, entrance through a garage, a large mirror on the ceiling and wall—none of that matched what I expected after walking 25 km. I felt very uncomfortable there.

It was the first day at a place I was staying. The décor and character were… hmm… interesting. Full privacy in the property, a big room, well‑isolated, a very large bathroom with no drawbacks. Breakfast was good and plentiful, but… the description in the negatives mentioned a lack of vegetables at breakfast, which seems normal in Portugal. The lighting was quite moody, fitting the room’s vibe, but sometimes I wished for a brighter bulb. The bathroom was well lit.
