The pool was the highlight, and the hotel itself was pretty good, but the walk they advertised as 12 minutes to town didn’t mention that the hotel sits uphill, and our room was tucked between the recessed area and the lift, making it very noisy.

The location over Rethymnon was nice and the city was reachable on foot, but the staff were generally unhelpful except for a few exceptions, the food was mediocre, and the facilities were dated; when we asked for chamomile tea bags because of a stomach upset, they charged €3.50 each even though they were free at the breakfast buffet.
