“Man wird nur abgezockt”
The location was great. I have been staying here since 2018 and have always felt very comfortable, so this year’s visit was especially disappointing, mainly because of the restaurants and pricing. The restaurant prices are now completely over‑priced. You pay a high rate for the stay and then face restaurant prices that, in my view, are not in any reasonable ratio to the service. For example, at Nusr‑Et a small plate of Lokum now costs 4,500 TL. At Manos, the Greek restaurant, we paid almost 400 € for two people for a sea bass and several starters – no alcohol – and other food and drinks are, in my opinion, disproportionately expensive. I find it especially bold that even a simple can of Cola from the minibar costs around 16 €. Charging such a price for a Cola feels completely excessive and frankly very cheeky. For me, there is no balance between price and quality. It is also problematic that outside the hotel there are hardly any reasonable places to eat. As a guest, you are practically forced to use the on‑site restaurants. This lack of alternatives gives the impression that the situation is being exploited and therefore prices are demanded that would otherwise be hard to justify elsewhere. I am very disappointed that a hotel I have known and liked since 2018 now offers such a poor price‑performance ratio. Price increases are understandable, but at some point the service must also be in a reasonable ratio to the price. This time I repeatedly felt: you pay a lot – you are practically forced to pay the bill because there are almost no alternatives.
