There were plenty of dishes, so I never had any trouble; the bathroom was renovated and looked clean. When staying with a large group, it would have been better to have two toilets, and a dryer would have been a nice addition.

The kitchen was spotless and stocked with plenty of utensils; the futon was fluffy and I slept deeply. I could use the washing machine whenever I wanted, and the owner was very kind. I did notice some expired items in the kitchen and wondered whether they should have been thrown out.

The staff here were incredibly friendly and helpful, which made a huge difference to my stay. They went out of their way to make sure I had everything I needed.

I was really happy to experience a traditional Japanese house, it was a highlight of my trip. If you're looking to unwind and relax, this place is definitely worth considering, but just be prepared for the weather.
