The hotel sits in a central spot and the room was clean. The lobby and lift feel a bit worn; there are patches of paint on the walls that would look better with a full fresh coat instead of just a smear. The bathroom door handle wasn’t fitted properly.

I was excited to return to Mercure Melbourne Therry Street after a fantastic first stay, but the second visit was far less enjoyable and left me disappointed. Noise from the room next to me and the one above—apparently guests were exercising or doing other activities—made it hard to sleep, especially late into the night. I stay in the city for early work starts, so a quiet room is essential. The first stay was great, but this one has made me doubt a return.

The shower is outdated, but otherwise all the facilities were fine. The location is great and the kitchen is nice.

The location was great, but the TV in the room was tiny and had no reception.

The spot is awesome—just a stone's throw from Victoria Market and tram stops, with loads of restaurants and grocery shops nearby. Having a kitchen in the room was super handy, and the staff were friendly and welcoming.
