Vienna Hostel Ruthensteiner

The area was great; I only stayed a few nights and didn’t use the common rooms much since I was visiting family. All staff were friendly and accommodating, and I could have met a lot of great people if I had more time. They upgraded my room to an entire apartment, which was a very pleasant surprise. Nothing else.

The location, comfort and quiet for sleeping were perfect! 😅 The beds were iron bunk beds that shifted a bit when the person on the top bed got up, and they could have curtains for more privacy.

“Family vibe hostel next to the Westbahnhof”

The staff were friendly, the beds were comfortable, the location was great and the value was solid. Two courtyards, free lockers to leave luggage after checkout. The toilets were small (definitely bigger than average person will struggle to fit there), towels cost extra (just be prepared for it), and the kitchen was small.

“Ottimo Ostello.”

The 6‑bedroom room was huge. There are lockers that lock with the same card used to enter the room. The bathroom is clean and in the room. There are no privacy curtains in front of the bed, few hangers for jackets and towels, a bit of dust on the chandeliers, and a lot of humidity on the bathroom walls. Otherwise it’s a good place and I’d come back.

The staff were very friendly, attentive, and helpful. I also really liked the breakfast. I missed having a full‑length mirror in the room, and there was mold on the bathroom ceiling. I stayed in the top bunk and found it very hard to climb up and down. On the first day I used a small stool as an extra step, but the next day another guest took it and used it as a bedside table. A safer and more accessible ladder or step for the top bunk would be helpful.
