I had chosen the location mainly for the terrace breakfast but unfortunately the weather made it impossible.

Hotel Isabella sits on Taormina’s bustling Corso Umberto, just 200 m from the Greek Amphitheatre. Rooms feature air‑conditioning, parquet floors, private baths, minibars, and views of rooftops, the street, or the Ionian Sea. The breakfast room showcases ancient Roman walls, while rooftop dining offers theatre and sea vistas. Complimentary shuttle to Caparena Beach, free beach gear, and sister‑hotel wellness discounts enhance the stay.

Perfect location, rich breakfast. I could hear the noises from the adjacent room, but all in all I still recommend it.

Location and the view from the 4th floor terrace. Nothing else.

The spot is unbeatable, smack in the middle of Corso Umberto and within a short walk to everything. The staff were incredibly friendly, helpful and welcoming, and the balcony with a sea view was a real highlight. The free beach access was great, with a shuttle bus to Hotel Caparena and complimentary beach gear, and the rooftop terrace was lovely for breakfast in summer. The reception and entrance area were beautiful, and the early departure breakfast box was decent, though the food itself was disappointing; I did appreciate the water bottle and the apple. The room itself was very small, especially if you stay longer, with a cramped bathroom and shower, a tiny safe that only fits a passport and a few small items, no room for a laptop, a small TV, and outdated furnishings that don't meet modern hotel standards. Sound insulation was poor, so you could hear neighboring rooms easily, and the breakfast was basic—acceptable but nothing special, and outside of summer it was served on the lower floor instead of the rooftop terrace. The hotel still uses traditional keys instead of key cards.
