The staff were fantastic, even giving me a pizza and sparkling water as a surprise because my race finished during the night. It was lovely!

The hotel is modest but highly recommended. Its location is excellent, just a stone's throw from the center, and the value for money is superb. The owner doesn’t speak English but is a real charm, doing everything she can to help and please guests. Bansko itself is a great base for exploring the nearby Pirin area. There are no negatives, but I’ll add some practical tips: parking space is very limited. On the main street, parking is paid and time‑limited, but just turn onto a side street and walk about a hundred meters to find free spots. For breakfast you can bring your own food and eat at the corner café. During the summer jazz festival, most bars and restaurants charge Western European prices, which are excessive for Bulgaria, so it’s worth trying to stay off the beaten path.
