“Suffered in silence”
The office manager seemed friendly at first but never asked me where I wanted my room; she assigned me a first‑floor room right next to the leasing office, which turned out to be the worst experience of my life. I told her at check‑in that I was staying in the area for ongoing cancer treatment and needed to rest. The room was constantly noisy with people coming in and out of the leasing office, and she kept bumping her chair into the wall and moving things around. I was told at check‑in that dogs were not allowed, so I thought that was fine because the last thing I needed was to be woken up at night. I take my cancer medicine at 8 pm and try to sleep, but I kept being woken by someone walking over my head; at first I thought it was a large adult, but it never stopped. Eventually I started hearing continuous running and barking. After a few days I couldn't take it anymore, so around 10 pm I called the night manager, who was very rude and hung up on me. The air conditioner is very loud, there is a moisture problem in the room, and the cough drops I bought kept melting. The plumbing makes a loud gurgling noise. Don’t forget your soap, tissue, paper towels, trash bags, and be prepared to wash your towels and face cloths or do what I did and bring your own. The manager was rude about the dogs, claiming she didn’t know, but her office was right below the floor with the dogs, more than one. Why didn’t she inspect the property? What about housekeeping? What about maintenance? They didn’t care.
