The Novotel Sydney Olympic Park is surrounded by 640 hectares of parklands, near Accor Stadium and Qudos Bank Arena. Spacious rooms and suites feature en-suite bathrooms, cable TV, and air conditioning. The hotel offers a restaurant, bar, and al fresco dining at The Brewery. A 17th-floor observation deck provides panoramic views. Sydney International Airport is a 30-minute drive away.

The rooms were clean and the location was great. The lifts were terrible—waiting over 30 minutes for one that could fit me, and they were very slow, which is unreasonable for a 4‑star hotel. They were also quite small, and only one lift serviced the carpark. The beds were far too soft and easy to move around in the room. The shower had problems for both of us, who have ankle, knee, and hip issues; stepping over the high bath wall was not ideal, so we didn’t shower after the first day. A 4‑star hotel should offer walk‑in showers, especially at the price you charge. The service was just okay; I couldn’t understand the reception ladies because their English was poor and they spoke too softly, and none of them smiled.

The location was great. The curtains didn’t match the stylistic choice I expected.

The room was very comfortable, the staff were very nice, and the location was excellent. The restaurant was pleasant, though the menu had few options and was pricey; the buffet breakfast offered good value. The only downside was having to cross the road to use another hotel’s gym because there was no gym on site. When I tried to use the gym, the card I received at reception didn’t work, so I didn’t end up using it.
