Das Ebertor Hotel

“Unsatisfying accommodation in an otherwise nice town.”

The spot’s location is solid, right by the river, offering a nice nighttime view—though you can’t actually see it from the hotel. The town itself is pretty, quiet, and has a few good spots to eat around the square. The downside was the ugly AI‑generated posters everywhere, even in restaurants that used AI food pics instead of real ones, which turned me off from dining there. My room smelled awful because the bathroom’s ventilation was poor. Signage was confusing, making it hard to navigate. I spent ages searching for a restaurant listed on their website, but it seems it doesn’t exist. The overall vibe felt weird, so I wouldn’t recommend this place.

Wir sind immer wieder im Ebertor, unsere Wünsche werden vom Personal berücksichtigt und wir lieben das Frühstück, den Biergarten und den Blick auf das Wasser. An diesem Wochenende war Tanz im Ebertor, schade, dass die Musik am Sonntag nur von 11 Uhr bis 16 Uhr spielte. Wir haben beobachtet, das die Besucher erst später kommen. Besser wäre z.B. 12 Uhr bis 17/18 Uhr. Schade, das, dass gute Frühstück nur bis 10 Uhr geht, täglich bis halb 11 Uhr, fänden wir entspannter

The room is clean and modern, and I appreciate that each bed has its own curtain and that two types of tissue paper are supplied. However, the wall isn’t very sound‑proof, so there’s a bit of outside noise. The shared room lacks a lock for bag storage.

The location is simply great for my training. I’m not sure what went wrong this time; from check‑in onward, I didn’t feel as comfortable as usual.
