Best experience ever! All I had to do was buy a plane ticket and book this hotel, then Sun Beach handled the rest. The service was incredible and the breakfast had a lot of proteins👍

“Very Bad experience: ALERT SCAM”

The room was clean and the AC worked. I cannot recommend this hotel. It is quite expensive, and I felt that many of their prices were significantly higher than what you can find elsewhere on the island. For example, as you can see in the attached photo, they charge USD 125 for a 3–4 hour manta snorkeling trip. Other hotels, such as TME Retreat, which is in a similar price range per night, offer the same type of excursion for around half the price. They also charge an additional 4 % for card payments. The bicycle rental is USD 10 per day, whereas you can rent a bicycle for around USD 8 directly from the street. I also had an issue with exchanging my MVR into USD. The hotel offered me an exchange rate of 1 USD = 19 MVR, while the market rate was around 1 USD = 15.4 MVR. I understand that businesses need to make a commission, but this exchange rate is extremely unfavorable. In the end, I lost more than 1,000 MVR because of the exchange rate they offered. Overall, I had the feeling that many services were priced primarily to maximize what they could charge guests, rather than offering reasonable prices compared with other options on the island. For me, this really affected the experience and is the main reason I would not stay here again. Yes, the room was clean, the AC worked well, and they provided a bicycle and snorkeling goggles, and breakfast free of charge (but that was after that I complaint about their crazy charge of 1 USD for 19 MVR) Unfortunately, the positive aspects do not outweigh the pricing practices I experienced. I would recommend comparing prices with other hotels and local shops before booking excursions or other services through this hotel.

Alles war super sauber, die Zimmer sind groß und geräumig und das Frühstück war super lecker. Um Touren oder Tauchen zu buchen standen sie uns tatkräftig zur Seite, wir würden die Unterkunft auf jeden Fall nochmal wählen. Kein Drama, aber sie Badezimmertür war irgendwie sehr laut, man konnte sie nicht wirklich leise schließen

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The room was very clean and cleaned every day, and the staff were absolutely amazing. I felt very well taken care of throughout my entire stay. I have celiac disease, and the staff went above and beyond to make sure I could enjoy my stay comfortably. They even specially ordered gluten-free bread for me from the capital, which was incredibly thoughtful and meant a lot to me. They also invited me to dinner and treated me to freshly caught fish, which was such a lovely and memorable experience. Since I was travelling to the island solo, it was also really nice to have someone to talk to every day. The staff were so friendly, welcoming, and genuinely caring. They arranged transportation for me from the capital to the island and later helped organize my transfer to the next island, which made everything so much easier and stress-free. I truly felt welcomed, safe, and cared for here. I highly recommend this hotel and would happily stay here again! ❤️
