Being close to the orthopedic surgeon made it super convenient for a good night’s sleep after my surgery the next morning, but the A/C in my room was set to 61 degrees when I first walked in, and it was freezing.
Mr Miller at the front desk did an outstanding job
“Overpriced for what I got. Will not return.”
The front staff were pleasant and helpful, the main part of the room was nice, and the TV had many channels; the restaurant looked somewhat modern. However, the bathroom was disgusting—paying $640 Canadian for two nights for a bathroom that hasn’t been updated since the 1980s was unacceptable. Wallpaper was peeling, rust and grime were everywhere, and the tiles appeared to have mould on the grout.
“Consequently, I enjoyed a very pleasant stay at the hotel.”
The hotel sits just a stroll from Portland’s bus and train stations, and the 5, 7, 9A and 9B local buses stop right outside. A pharmacy, supermarket and several top‑class restaurants are all within walking distance.
“Will choose a different hotel next year”
