“Volendam”
A tidy house in a calm setting, about 8 minutes on a bike from the harbor. The owner is super friendly, flexible, and quick to reply. Take advantage of everything.
“Rejuvenating, tranquil; Sedat is an awesome host!”
Sedat was an incredibly kind and thoughtful host. When we misunderstood our arrival time he was very accommodating and we sorted it out with no hassle. He prepared a lovely breakfast spread one morning, and we ate together—it was a delightful experience as we chatted. The neighborhood is so quiet; staying here was a rejuvenating experience, exactly what we needed after a busy day in Amsterdam. Getting to the city center by bus was easy; transportation was a breeze. It was a 7‑10 minute walk to the Schoener bus stop. I’d recommend buying the multi‑day regional pass at the station before heading anywhere in Amsterdam or Volendam if you plan to use the bus. The accommodation itself was lovely. The attic room lets in plenty of natural light, offers plenty of space and privacy, and the Wi‑Fi is great. The surroundings are beautiful and tranquil, and there are many cute animals around the canals if you explore. I would definitely stay here again if I’m near Amsterdam/Volendam. Once again, Sedat is an amazing and generous host. Thank you for the unforgettable experience!

“Kamer was OK maar als het zetel bed uitgetrokken moet worden, is het een heel stuk kleiner en met twee in een groot bed”
Nice, quiet garden. The sofa bed was really not okay—different pillows you fall into. We stayed two nights and everyone had to sleep on the sofa for a night; it was definitely uncomfortable.
