“Wonderful place to stay, always cosy. Our go-to in Timaru!”

The rooms feel very cosy, and the bath is a lovely touch. Check‑in and check‑out were effortless, and having the apartment cleaned daily was wonderful. However, this room had an odd smell when we entered, probably from cleaning products, and the shower door needed to be positioned just right to avoid pooling on the floor. The bed was also too soft for our taste.

“Great apartment, disappointing management.”

The apartment itself was excellent—very new, clean, well‑equipped, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Unfortunately, the management was very disappointing. We booked because we had to change plans due to severe weather. I called ahead to explain that we might arrive an hour after the stated check‑in time and asked if we could leave the room unlocked or pick up an alternative key. They refused and said we’d have to pay a late check‑in fee. When I asked how much, they kept saying it “depends on the time” and never gave a clear answer. When we finally arrived, we found staff on the property, yet the owner threatened an additional NZD 100 late check‑in fee or no key. We had no choice but to pay.

The staff turned on the lights and heating in our room before we entered, so we stepped into a warm, lovely space. It’s a nice big room with a heat pump and 3rd‑floor views. The bathroom features a spa bath, the bed is extra large and comfortable, and the Sky TV is great. We also liked the free laundry facilities downstairs.

“Perfect overnight stay”

Clean, warm, and comfortable. Everything was thoughtfully considered to make an excellent overnight experience. Everything was great.
