Everything was comfortable; all the cooking and bathroom needs were met, 10/10. Good area.

The bike rental advice was helpful—Kyoto is a city to discover by bike! The room temperature hit 40 degrees when we arrived, and there were no curtains on any windows, so it was impossible to sleep after 6 am.

The spot was spot on, the place stayed spotless and the host was super helpful, always on hand. I usually book rooms with private baths, but this time I ended up with a shared one—still cleaner than some 4‑star hotel bathrooms I've seen! 😄

The cleaning was thorough and the rooms were clean. After checking out, I could leave my luggage with them, which was a big help. The room was on the second floor, but the stairs were pretty steep; there was a handrail, but with my foot injury, climbing up and down felt scary…
