I originally booked two nights and kept extending because I liked it so much. Nick takes excellent care of guests, the breakfast is tasty and plentiful, the beds are very comfortable with curtains. It’s truly one of the best hostels I’ve ever been to. It’s also very quiet because it’s on a side street. I absolutely recommend it!

This hostel is different! The vibe, the beauty of the common area and the temple in the middle are amazing! It’s not the most social hostel but it’s definitely where you meet very great people. Nick is a great man and a great tour guide; I ended up booking six nights there when I had planned only two. I definitely like this hostel and would return. It’s in the middle of everything, so if you don’t have a scooter you’ll be fine. Free breakfast is nice and I loved the local friendly atmosphere. It feels like you’re living with family.

The bunk beds are really comfy and provide privacy. Immaculately clean. The owner is very nice and helpful

Sunshine Vintage is located right in the heart of Ubud. The staff are friendly and the facilities are clean and well maintained. There are also tours available. They even make you breakfast in the morning. My only issue was that it was hard to book a cab (car) where the driver was able/willing to come onto the street where the hostel is. The street is very narrow, but motor scooters will/can come with no problem. If you have luggage or prefer a car you may have to walk only about 5 minutes to the main road. The owner of the house arranged to have a cab driver pick me up with my luggage to go to the airport. Great guy!
