The sea views from the room and the chance to visit the Torii by boat at night were fantastic, and the onsen was a treat; the hotel shop had a wide selection, the shuttle to the port was a nice added convenience, and both dinner and breakfast were varied and delicious; the staff were incredibly kind and answered all our questions, so overall I liked it more than I had expected based on reviews that mentioned a needed remodel; the only thing that felt a bit uncomfortable was the shower.

The view was great and the food was delicious; the room with windows overlooking both sea and mountains had a wonderful atmosphere; the two meals included were fairly priced; the private outdoor bath and free shuttle bus were also appreciated.

The front of the hotel faced the Seto Inland Sea and I was thrilled to see the torii of Miyajima right outside.
