The location and the atmosphere are great, François, the owner, was very friendly and helpful. When we arrived the fridge wasn’t working, but within two hours he had a new one! We received breakfast in the room every morning. The bed and the mattress were from the 1950s, so they could use an upgrade. The kitchen had a sparse basic setup; salt and pepper were missing.

The location was beautiful, overlooking a very lovely wooded area. Breakfast on the balcony facing nature, quiet and calm, was sublime. I slept in a very large room that recreates the painter’s studio linked to Claude Monet, with a skylight where you can see the stars at night. At night the house “lives” and creaks a lot… the wooden frame breathes the beauty of the flowers in the gardens of this very beautiful village. My host is very accommodating. I was able to leave and retrieve some of my belongings before leaving, which allowed me to visit in peace during the day.

“Quirky artist loft”

Lovely loft studio‑style apartment. Large and comfortable with artistic decor, fridge, kitchen, comfy bed and big bathroom. Hosts were lovely, non‑intrusive and gave a basic French breakfast with croissants! Highly recommend for a genuine regional France experience. Close to Monet’s home and garden and other attractions and shops nearby. Word of warning though, the room is accessed by a narrow spiral staircase so large bags or disability may have access problems. No problems for me, just added to the quirky charm of this beautiful place. Stairs may be a problem for some.
