You’ll need a good GPS to find the street—Waze sent us into the fields, but Google Maps works better—but once you locate the spot the area is quiet and easy to get to, the view is gorgeous, the room is spacious, comfortable, and functional. The place feels calm and safe, even having an outdoor shower, and the owner is very friendly. The downside is having to go around the house to reach the toilet and shower, and the “kitchen” is just an electric hot plate and a cold water tap, which was enough though. Also, the skylights don’t have blackout blinds, which can be surprising in the summer at northern latitudes.

A lovely large room with a personal touch; the bathroom was nice, and even though it was in the main house it didn’t bother me. There was plenty of motion‑responsive lighting on the way to the toilet. Google Maps couldn’t locate the place at first, but I eventually found it.

The host is extremely friendly and a fascinating person. The room design is done with great care and taste, making it a real experience for art lovers. For someone who dislikes a long walk to the bathroom, it could be an issue, but otherwise the bathroom meets the highest standards.
