“DO NOT stay here”

The location was perfect and there was on‑site parking; after booking I got a message about potential noise that should have been disclosed before payment, and because of the room’s position I felt vulnerable as a solo female traveller – the room was below the bar, noisy, and a bathroom door seemed to lead to the cellar judging by the noise and light; a constant cigarette smell was the most unpleasant, and I later realized the Wi‑Fi was unusable so I had to work in my car; the sheets were threadbare and I had to wear shoes at all times because the carpet was soiled.

The location was fine; the pool table above the room was very nosy.

It’s acceptable as a stopover to break up the journey, but the room was very small, on the ground floor under the pub, and maybe a bit expensive.

“Disappointing”

Good views of golf course. Lock on room 7 faulty, room not clean and found a cockroach on its back by bin when we arrived and one ran across me at 1am. Staff failed to provide cockroache baits when asked to do so. Staff fixed the door and cleaned the room when asked
