The location was convenient, close to tourist spots, and the kids never got bored, but the food was pretty ordinary; there were few dishes that felt like they came from Shirahama, and the buffet was just a generic spread.

The onsen felt wonderful and the cosmetics were excellent, but the price shown on the website raised my expectations; the staff who said they would be there in the morning never showed up, which was very disappointing, and the room seemed to be in the old building—old and not up to the price paid.

I've stayed here several times and each visit finds the rooms spotless and very comfortable; the minibar stocked with alcohol, desserts and late‑night snacks was a nice touch, and the extensive evening menu offered plenty for kids and adults alike. The only let‑down was that the game area that used to be there is gone and there are far fewer books now.
