The place is magnificent with a stunning view, “Out of Africa”. The bungalows are very pleasant, and Joffreville, though a bit worn, houses the beautiful “parc national de la montagne d'ambre”. Don’t forget to visit the nearby Benedictine sisters who run a lovely shop of artisanal goods. Prices are high in June for Madagascar, and that would justify services such as accepting Visa cards (and not just euros in cash).

The staff were very friendly and the breakfast excellent, with a quiet setting and a nice view. The only problem was that we found pests in the bathroom at night.

The view of the mountain is breathtaking, the bungalows are well equipped, and the restaurant is pleasant with a very good breakfast. The stay was charming, though a bit pricey for Madagascar.

The setting is stunning and close to the mountain. The lodge is incredible and comfortable! Dinner and breakfast were served quickly, making it a perfect spot to recharge.
