“Nice stay”
The accommodation isn’t on the main road; you have to enter a smaller street. In the dark it’s hard to see, but you can call the host to meet you on Main Street and he’ll walk you to your room. That may sound inconvenient, but stepping off the main road means you don’t hear the tuk‑tuk traffic and are surrounded by nature sounds. I was offered tea on arrival and the next morning (very good, just ask them to cut back on the sugar). I also received a gift: a pack of chocolate cookies, a nice touch. The hosts were very kind and told me there was a ring by the door to ring if I needed anything. The shower was warm, though the pressure wasn’t strong. The room came with one shower towel and one face towel, which I liked. There was also a kettle, two glasses, and a cup. This place suits nature lovers and hikers who want a simple spot to stay during a trip (note that if you’re doing the Pekoe trail, this accommodation is a 50‑minute walk from the start/end point of your stage in Makulella). The bed is okay, but the sheets aren’t tucked in and there’s no top sheet, only two thin blankets. I’d prefer a tucked‑in bottom sheet, a top sheet, and a thick blanket for the cold nights. The toilet light eventually stopped working, but I reported it to the host.
