The location is great, the environment is pleasant and clean, and I stayed in a private room. The shower was hot, the TV and mini‑fridge were all perfect. There is no parking.
The spot is right by the square where the cachaça festival rolls out, which made getting there a breeze. Prices were fair and the service was decent enough for a short stay.

The hostel’s location can’t be beat – just a short walk to the historic centre, the cachaça festival, Pontal beach and the museum. The front desk staff were great, answering all our questions and pointing us toward things to do around town. I liked the vintage feel and the quirky décor, though the rooms themselves look a bit dated and could do with a refresh.
I had an amazing time in Paraty. The hostel felt really welcoming, the staff were close‑knit and everything ran smoothly. I’d definitely come back and tell anyone heading there to stay, especially the volunteers – Juan was always on hand, friendly and ready to help with anything.
