The room was lovely, with the Black River’s flow echoing all night and bush babies chirping in the evenings. We dined at the top‑floor restaurant, where the staff happily met our dietary needs. When I asked Bella about traditional Tanzanian food—something we couldn’t find elsewhere on our trip—she surprised us with an impromptu cooking lesson. She guided us through making ugali and several stews, then taught us how to eat with our hands. That unexpected class was a highlight of our Tanzania visit. The accommodation itself was nice, but it was Bella and the rest of the team who truly made our stay memorable; they went above and beyond to ensure we had an amazing experience. We’ll definitely return next time we’re in Tanzania.
