Hotel Regat

The old hotel was a real disappointment. I was the only other guest that night. After the check‑in there was no staff or service available, so I couldn’t get anything I needed. The place was empty and shabby. I was moved to the upper floors even though the hotel had no elevator and was basically vacant.

I confirmed my booking, called the number on the front door, but no one answered and the door stayed shut so I couldn’t enter the hotel. The host called me hours later to explain, but that didn’t make up for the disappointment of their failure to fulfill their duties, and they even asked me to cancel the reservation as if I was the one who didn’t want it.

While I appreciated the hotel's location, my stay was marred by the fact that the restaurant was closed during my visit. This meant that I had to go elsewhere to find a place to eat, which was inconvenient. What's more, I think it would have been helpful if the hotel had notified us in advance on their website that the restaurant would be closed.

Unfortunately, I didn't get to experience the hotel's amenities firsthand, as I didn't end up checking in. When I arrived, I found that no one was present, and I had to wait for 40 minutes before someone showed up. It was a disappointing start to my stay, and I was left feeling frustrated and disappointed.
