The staff were extremely friendly, even waiting for us until 23:45 when our boat finally arrived late, and the rooms were charming with excellent bathrooms; the location was perfect for exploring the area and the house felt very welcoming, although the breakfast could have used a few more salty options.

The property is huge, spotless, and provides private parking in a good spot that lets you wander the surroundings while still being quiet enough at night for a restful sleep; the garden is lovely and the owner greeted us personally with great courtesy, yet the retro‑style rooms weren’t to my taste even though they were impeccably clean, and given the nightly rate I expected a richer breakfast – more croissants, jam, biscuits instead of just two homemade tart slices and the boxed juices that were offered, which could have been improved with a wider buffet of packaged items.

The rooms were thoughtfully furnished and very cozy, and the view into the garden was lovely.

The location, surrounded by nature, feels refreshing. The owner is a friendly conversational partner. Breakfast is excellent, with homemade pastries and fresh organic fruit. The room is spacious and airy. The restaurant’s kitchen wasn’t available, but a few minutes away are several places the owner recommends, so it wasn’t a real issue.
