“Cucarachas y dormir en la piscina”
I had a terrible stay at the hotel: we found cockroaches in the room and the first response was to hand us a bug spray, implying they already knew about the issue. After insisting, they moved us to another room, but that one was even worse with roaches everywhere. When I complained again, they sprayed the room, and in disgust we had to sleep on the hammocks around the pool. I’ve never received such poor treatment.

Lunch was superb with a sea view, the staff were very friendly, and the hotel itself has a lovely Indo‑Arabian Andalusian vibe; the bedding was comfortable, so I highly recommend it and the place is perfectly situated for exploring Stone Town.
We only stayed one night, but the hotel’s décor was stunning, the staff were friendly and helpful, the place was spotless and had every amenity for a great stay, it was well‑located, and breakfast offered a nice variety.
