The spa was great and the meal in the restaurant was lovely. The only downside was having to pay extra for the spa; I think the room price should have included it since the rooms are expensive.

The property is beautiful, though the decor feels a little tired. We had to pay extra for the spa, which was why we stayed. The spa itself is in a poor state: the sauna door doesn’t close properly, the hot tub rubber tiles are worn all over, and the sides are generally worn; it clearly needs an update.

The grounds are lovely and the restaurants serve good food. The spa is overcrowded and some facilities are out of use.

The location is amazing with a scenic view, and all facilities are super clean and beautiful. The food in the restaurants and at breakfast tasted brilliant, and the staff were all super helpful. It was a bit hard to find a locker in the spa because many in the men’s changing room were broken or already in use, but the room was close enough to the spa and the area was monitored well enough that this wasn’t a real problem.

A fabulous country house set in a beautiful setting with delightful grounds, but the food left me disappointed—sea bass on a bed of lettuce felt uninspired.
