“It was a fine property for the money”
The location was great—just a short walk from downtown. The bathroom, however, was very small.

The place has a great location, is clean, and nicely done. I appreciated the air conditioning, but the unit is noisy at night and can disturb sleep if you're not used to consistent noise. It didn't ruin the stay, but it was the only thing that made sleeping difficult.

I loved the overall look and size of the room—modern yet fitting the house's age—and it was very attractive. The bed was excellent, large and comfortable. The shower was small but adequate, and the kitchen was well equipped. I especially liked the Keurig pods—caffeine, half‑caffeine, and no caffeine—with a couple of flavored options. The location was excellent, just a block off Main St but quiet. The hostess was not on site but reachable by phone. There was Wi‑Fi, hot water, parking (look for the sign by the driveway), and helpful tourist pamphlets and a couple of menus. We stayed mid‑September on a Sunday and Monday, so not all stores and restaurants were open or served dinner past 7 PM. That’s not a criticism, just a heads up. I’d suggest calling any restaurant or store before going—hours varied a lot across the mid‑Coast and Downeast area. Rockland is a great town for walking, and Hugo’s is located conveniently for exploring many places. We enjoyed our two nights there. The only thing we’d have liked was brighter lighting in the kitchen area, but that was minor.

The place was well maintained, with nice décor and very clean. The location in town was great. The bathroom was extremely small, with only a corner shower and toilet. There was no bathroom sink, only a stainless‑steel sink in the kitchenette, which had no mirror for shaving.
