The view, the beach, and the campfire evening were all fantastic.

There was a wonderful variety of foods, excellent coffee, and a gorgeous location, but while we loved the fish on the second day, a few more fresh fish options would have been nice.
“Le paradis sur terre”
We loved this lodge tucked between savannah and sea – a dreamy spot, simple and cozy, with beach access, a quality bar and restaurant, mischievous monkeys, a little snorkeling on the beach, and especially the super friendly staff! I’d go back without hesitation. Just note that to reach the lodges you must cross Maputo National Park: 10 km of sandy track, a 4x4 is mandatory, and you need an experienced driver – otherwise the hotel’s shuttle service is perfect.
The setting was beautiful, blending safari vibes with the sea, and the staff were extremely friendly; we truly enjoyed our stay.
We enjoyed a stunning stay at Ponta Membene, set in an incredible natural spot right on the ocean, with friendly staff, excellent food and an unforgettable safari in Maputo park; the chance to kite‑surf right off the hotel when the wind’s right was a huge plus, making it a wonderful leg of our Mozambique trip, although after two days the restaurant menu started to feel a bit repetitive and arranging a transfer from Maputo doubled the nightly rate.
