A private patio offers views of Pico and Faial Islands, and the apartment includes a fully equipped kitchenette with an oven and fridge. The layout provides two separate bedrooms and a sofa bed, sleeping up to four guests with a crib available on request. The single bathroom features a bathtub, two showers, a double basin and complimentary toiletries.
“goed te doen.”
The balcony view was amazing, and the rooms and bathrooms were spacious. However, the kitchen equipment was lacking: no kettle, only small electric cookers, and no freezer space. The shower leaked and the beds felt hard.
“Stor anbefaling til dit ophold på Sao Jorge!”
The staff were very welcoming and helpful—Gabi was especially kind with recommendations and all sorts of assistance. Breakfast was excellent with a phenomenal view of Pico. The apartments were luxurious and had everything you could need. The pool was great and the view was better. Dinner at the restaurant was tasty! The resort feels a bit remote and has very limited shopping options (just a small kiosk at the end of the road), but that also means more peace and quiet. A wedding took place while we were there, which is understandable given the beautiful setting, but it caused some awkward “charges” at the reception and the restaurant’s flexibility, and we were warned a bit earlier in the day. An alternative solution, like take‑away, would have been perfect here because the place is somewhat isolated and we had to drive out to find food after a long day with a 3‑year‑old.
The location is exceptional, one of the best views of the island on Pico and Velas. The staff are very friendly and helpful, always available! The restaurant is very good 😊
“Heerlijk en lekker ruim”
A fantastic spot to relax with a stunning view! It would just help to update the kitchen a bit.
“Will return with the family next time.”
The staff were lovely and breakfast was great. Everything else was superb, especially the sunset dinner. The food was outstanding. I loved everything, though I had to remember we were very close to the airport, so the plane surprised me at first. There aren’t many flights out, so that’s fine. Don’t forget to stop by the little mini‑market for room snacks. I love having everything on the property after such a long trip. See you next time! I’m a water person, so I would have loved a dip in the ocean right at the hotel, but the pool was sufficient.
